Sustainable architecture and design

About Maria and the Archivore team

Founded in 2015, Archivore is led by Maria Vrondas, a registered Architect in NSW and Certified Passive House Designer. Maria’s experience and built work spans across 25 years, where she has developed a focus on sustainable and high-performing homes that bring enduring joy and well-being. The Archivore Team operates with purpose and strategy to deliver thoughtful and personalised buildings, through a process that’s methodical and sensitive to context, climate, and cultural history.

We value giving back to our community by supporting Surf Lifesaving Australia, and volunteering with the saint elesa food initiative established by The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese and Kogarah Greek Orthodox Parish and Community. The Saint Elesa Food initiative was founded in 2020 to support local shelters and homeless communities of Sydney with a weekly hot meal during the lockdown period and has now grown to providing 500 meals each week across Sydney metro areas.

Maria also has experience as a Casual Tutor for undergraduate architecture students at The Sydney University School of Architecture Design and Planning, to help young emerging architects develop skills and portfolios for the world of professional practice.
